WASHINGTON, June 13 (KUNA) -- The White House says penalties imposed on Chinese telecommunications giant ZTE will ensure it pays for violating
trade sanctions. "The massive penalties imposed on ZTE are part of a historic enforcement action taken by the Department of Commerce," White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said Wednesday.
It added that China had the confidence, ability and experience to safeguard its core interests if the US was to enforce
trade sanctions announced in March.
