Intramarket sector spread

The spread between two issues of the same maturity within a market sector. For instance, the difference in interest rates offered for five-year industrial corporate bonds and five-year utility corporate bonds.

Intramarket Sector Spread

The yield spread between two corporate bonds with the same maturity when the issuers are both in the same sector. A common example of an intramarket sector spread is the difference in yields between two 10-year bonds issued by an oil company and a natural gas company, respectively.
