a multimedia presentational tool that uses computers and other media to communicate, often through the INTERNET. The World Wide Web permits two-way interactive communications with large numbers of people simultaneously. The World Wide Web is an important tool of E-COMMERCE insofar as Internet marketing can be undertaken by developing colourful and attractive web pages to gain visitors' attention. As the number of people ‘surfing’ the web grows the potential to market goods through web browsers has become a significant element of firms' promotional mix.
