The foramen transversarium which is unique to the cervical vertebrae is found on the transverse process
. Plexus sympaticus, vertebral artery and vein passes inside (Aydinlioglu et al., 2001; Murlimanju et al.; Gujar et al., 2015; Molinet Guerra et al.).
Plain x-ray shows pseudo articulation of left L5 transverse process
and the sacrum (Figure 1).
Ultrasound guided Erector Spinae Plane block at L-4 transverse process
level provides effective postoperative analgesia for total hip arthroplasty.
With the more lateral entry point, hypertrophy of L5 transverse process
and the sacral wing would obstruct the puncture pathway and the duration of puncture time might be prolonged accordingly.
Compression of the internal jugular vein by the transverse process
of the atlas as the cause of cerebellar hemorrhage after supratentorial craniotomy.
The transverse process
and erector spinae muscle were more visible on the upper side of the patient.

Then, the probe was moved laterally from midline and the posterior elements, including layers of muscle, lamina, interlaminar space, facet joint, [C.sub.2] or [C.sub.3] transverse process

The cervical rib must be separate from, but articulate with, the transverse process
