redeemable financial security

a financial security such as a DEBENTURE, PREFERENCE SHARE or BOND issued for a fixed period of time and repayable on maturity.

Sometimes the borrowing company arranges debentures or loans which are repayable at the option of the company within certain time limits, the earliest and latest repayment dates being set out in the debenture or loan contract.

a financial security such as a BOND, DEBENTURE or PREFERENCE SHARE that is issued for a fixed period of time and is repayable on maturity at its redemption value. Contrast IRREDEEMABLE FINANCIAL SECURITY.
