consumption

the satisfaction obtained by CONSUMERS from the use of goods and services. Certain CONSUMER DURABLE products, like washing machines, are consumed over a longish period of time, while other products, like cakes, are consumed immediately after purchase. The DEMAND CURVE for a particular product reflects consumers’ satisfactions from consuming it. See WANTS, DEMAND.

PRP values, calculated for myocardial oxygen consumption, during experimental protocols are shown in Figures 2A-E.
Oxygen consumption measured every 30 sec for 5 min with an oximeter (Oxy-10 mini, Presens) equipped with an optical fiber sensor.
The decrease in resting oxygen consumption after 12 weeks of yogic training was statistically significant when compared to the effect of swimming on resting [O.sub.2] consumption (P < 0.05) [Table 5].
Non-invasive measurements of oxygen saturation provide further information on oxygen consumption of the retinal tissue.
Level of exertion, dyspnoea, maximum oxygen consumption and body mass index were assessed and documented at baseline (0 week) and at the completion of intervention (after 25 weeks).
The players then conducted a 10-minute long running test, where oxygen consumption, respiratory exchange ratio (RER), and heart rate (HR) were measured during the 3 final minutes of the test.
No deviations were noted from normal distribution for all variables of maximum amplitude and oxygen consumption. One-way ANOVA was used to compare maximum amplitude (Maxamp), mean amplitude (Meanamp) and oxygen consumption in all squat positions.
This density might not influence the physiology of early life stages as it has been shown that densities of 65-900 larvae/ml have no influence on oxygen consumption rates ([??][O.sub.2]) of Haliotis fulgens (Philippi, 1845) and Haliotis rufescens (Swainson, 1822) (Shilling et al.
When required, TBTC (Sigma-Aldrich) or oligomycin (OLI) (Sigma-Aldrich), another CV inhibitor, was dissolved in ethanol and added to the respiration medium during the oxygen consumption determination and to the medium for ATP, MIMP, [H.sub.2][O.sub.2], or IDH determination during the 2-hr, 15-min, 30-min, or 24-hr incubation periods, respectively.
The researchers found that compared to placebo, those consuming KSM-66 Ashwagandha for eight weeks had a much improved level of endurance as measured by the oxygen consumption at peak physical exertion (V[O.sub.2]max) levels during a 20-meter shuttle run test.
"However, there is a maximum level of oxygen consumption, beyond which increases in exercise intensity don't lead to further increases in oxygen consumption.
NOX2 and NOX4 are also expressed in synaptosomal plasma membrane [8, 13] and we previously reported that synaptosomes exhibit NADPH-dependent oxygen consumption [13].
