New Account Report

A fact sheet containing information about a new client to a brokerage. The new account report includes information on the client's income, debt, net worth, and so forth. The report helps the brokerage determine the client's investment goals and therefore what strategies may be most appropriate for him/her.

A form listing investment objectives, income, net worth, and other personal financial information that brokers must complete for each new customer. The information in a new account report is supposed to assist the broker in choosing the types of investments appropriate for a particular investor.
