Jason Alexander, 22, and Britney applied for a
marriage licence in Las Vegas at 4.30am after allegedly getting "steaming drunk".
But Cheryl Vernon, who is in charge of issuing
marriage licences in Las Vegas, said: "We don't issue a
marriage licence if they are intoxicated, no matter who they are."
It said: "Our records show no
marriage licence for Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth.
The issuing of
marriage licences is a provincial right and this is where our power resides.
Lagges says he has seen cases where people "go through the motions of the marriage ceremony, but to them the
marriage licence is nothing more than a piece of paper."
Archdeacon Huskins responded, "Provincial law says that a minister of religion can have a civil
marriage licence provided they are also able to perform marriages within their denominations."
It was three years ago that they were turned away from Boston City Hall when they sought a
marriage licence.
