There are around 11,000 CDA employees whose departments were devolved to the
MCI serving under the corporation on an attachment basis.

A total of 1,450 of these subjects had at least one follow-up assessment; 348 of them developed incident
MCI and 18 developed incident dementia.
However, the rate of nonamnestic
MCI was significantly higher among women with cardiac disease (24.3/1,000 person-years) than in those without (7.4/1,000 person-years), the investigators said (JAMA Neurol.
"We found that depression was related to a higher risk of prevalent
MCI and dementia, incident dementia, and progression from prevalent
MCI to dementia, but not to incident
MCI," the researchers noted.
"Each year, 10 to 15 percent of people who have
MCI involving memory loss (amnestic
MCI) progress to dementia, usually due to Alzheimer's disease (AD), compared to two percent of the general population," says Gad Asher Marshall, MD, a researcher on aging and AD at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
The researchers followed 43 elderly subjects who were cognitively normal at baseline, until their deaths: 23 of them remained cognitively normal, 10 developed amnestic
MCI, and 10 developed early Alzheimer's disease (EAD).
Those experiences, common sense and a natural skepticism positioned him to uncover a large receivables fraud at
MCI, putting the perpetrators behind bars.
