Type III dental stone was used by specialists (83%) and type II by general dental practitioners (88%).
* Maxillary preliminary impression was made with impression compound, special tray was fabricated with autopolymerizing acrylic resin, border moulding was done using low fusing compound and final impression was made by providing relief (Figure 2) over the flabby tissue in the maxillary anterior region using light body elastomer and poured with Type III dental stone.
After obtaining the preliminary casts in dental stone, custom trays were fabricated in self-cure acrylic resin.
After comprehensive preoperative assessment and counselling of the patient, impression was made using irreversible hydrocolloid material and poured with dental stone. A mock surgery was performed on obtained cast from which the surgical obturator was made using clear autopolymerizing acrylic resin (Dentsply).

After setting of the impression it was then carefully freed from the skin, removed (Figure 2) and poured in white colored dental stone to obtain a model with markings on skin transferred to it.
After taking impression in alginate and pouring in the dental stone, maximum mesiodistal width was measured with digital vernier caliper for primary second molars and first permanent molars.
