For the first time, we reported a series of Iranian patients with blastic plasmacytoid
dendritic cell neoplasm and presented our current practice at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.
Dendritic cells (DCs) are the most powerful professional antigen-presenting cells, and responsible for antigen recognition and procession.[8] They could initiate primary immune response and play an important role in host defense against pathogen infection and tumor progression.
The neoplastic cells in interdigitating
dendritic cell sarcoma may be spindled or epithelioid, and the epithelioid neoplastic cells may resemble those of histiocytic sarcoma.
Treatment with
dendritic cells is also often used when conventional therapies have not been successful.

Follicular
dendritic cell sarcomas commonly occur in lymph nodes of cervical region but also in mediastinal and axillary lymph nodes [5, 7, 12].
Immunohistochemically, tumour cells were strongly positive for
dendritic cell markers CD21 and CD23 (Figure-4 and 5).

dendritic cell subtypes," Nature Reviews Immunology, vol.
First, we demonstrate and propose that the major proportion of endogenous SGPP-l is located in the nuclear compartment in murine- and human-differentiated
dendritic cells. Second, upon inflammatory stimuli, translocation of SGPP-l into the ER occurs and potentially contributes to S1P fate and sphingolipid rheostat in
dendritic cell immune response.
The diagnosis is mainly provided by detection of [CD4.sup.+] [CD56.sup.+], [CD123.sup.high], [TCL-1.sup.+], and blood
dendritic cell antigen-2 (BDCA2)/[CD303.sup.+] Lin- blasts [3].
Dendritic cell therapy has no side effects for me, except for a touch of flu, which means that the treatment is catching on.
