Block

Large quantity of stock or large dollar amount of bonds held or traded. As a rule of thumb, 10,000 shares or more of stock and $200,000 or more worth of bonds would be described as a block.

Block

An exceptionally large amount or value of securities. While there is no specific definition of how many shares constitute a block, most people using the term refer to holding or trading more than 10,000 shares and/or shares worth more than $200,000. Almost invariably, trades of this magnitude involve institutional investors. See also: Block trade, Secondary issue.

block

A large amount of a security, usually 10,000 shares or more.

block

An area bounded by perimeter streets. Many subdivision descriptions employ a subdivision name, and then a block number and a lot number to identify particular properties. The numbers are assigned when the subdivision developer files its plat plan with local authorities.

In the majority of audit schemes, the random method is used to extract challenge data blocks. No one cares about how to choose data to improve audit efficiency.
Subsequently, the data user needs to generate metadata authentication tag on the data block. To compute block authentication tags on all data blocks {[m.sub.i]} i = 1, 2, ..., n, the data user uniformly samples r [member of] [Z.sub.q] to calculate R = rP.
For the ith image block, the watermark is extracted from the redundant space, scrambled inversely using the same secret key and decomposed into two parts: the reference data block and the hash data.

The input data block of M symbols is divided into V disjoint sub-blocks as x = [[[x.sub.1],[x.sub.2],[??],[x.sub.V]].sup.T], where [x.sub.i] are the sub-blocks that are sequentially located and also are of equal size and each sub-block consists of M/V nonzero elements and set the rest part to zero.
