Border

A set line denoting the extremities of a country, government, legal jurisdiction or property. Borders for governments or jurisdictions are agreed between parties or set by a higher authority. Borders between properties are set by a government or the original owner. An owner of property sometimes may subdivide and sell pieces, thereby creating new borders within his old property.

However, recently, elastomeric impression materials have also been considered appropriate for functional border molding and final impression.15 In the last decade, the use of newer elastomeric materials such as polyvinylsiloxane and polyether for final impressions has been recommended by several investigators to replace the relatively older and more traditional materials.
After applying an appropriate adhesive and adding tissue stops, a border molding impression material or a medium body polyvinyl siloxane impression material is then used to border mold the maxillary and mandibular trays employing the method used with conventional custom trays.
