Asymmetry

A lack of equivalence between two things, such as the unequal tax treatment of interest expense and dividend payments.

Asymmetry

A lack of equality between two things. For example, there may be asymmetry in how two types of income are taxed. Asymmetry may encourage certain business or investment decisions while discouraging others.
