point of sale display

promotional material, such as banners and posters or demonstrations of a product inside a SHOP or store, which is used as a means of stimulating SALES. Such in-store displays and demonstrations are often used alongside an ADVERTISING campaign, and serve to reinforce and capitalize upon that advertising by attracting customers' attention whilst in the store.
