Overtime Ban

A situation in which employees refuse to work longer than is required of them. For example, if office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., employees following an overtime ban will not work outside that time. Overtime bans may be used as labor action or another form of employee protest. It is considered less disruptive than a strike.
