Housing that is manufactured off-site and then installed on real property with minimal assemblage except as pertains to the various sections of a double-wide or a triplewide home.All such housing manufactured since 1976 must meet a sort of national building code established by HUD for the industry. The industry trade association is the Manufactured Housing Institute (www.manufacturedhousing.org).
