Refers to members of the bond department of the NYSE who trade the most bonds. Antithesis of cabinet crowd.

Active Bond Crowd

Traders on the New York Stock Exchange who deal with bonds that are traded frequently. Because they deal in active bonds, the active bond crowd is responsible for the lion's share of bond trading volume. Prices are usually higher for actively traded bonds because they are liquid investments. See also: Cabinet Crowd.
