National Bank of Poland

The central bank of Poland. It controls issue of the Polish zloty. It was established under its current name in 1945, but traces its origins to the Bank of Poland in the 19th century. Its president is appointed by the Sejm (Polish parliament) upon the request of the President of Poland.
