Managed Money

Managed Money

Any investment vehicle where the investor directly controls the funds placed therein. For example, an investor may place funds in a mutual fund or other investment company. The investment manager of the investment company then handles the money and makes investment decisions related to it. Managed money may also apply to an individual brokerage account where the broker has the discretion to make investment decisions without the specific approval of the account holder.
