Gradualist Monetarism

Gradualist Monetarism

The policy in which the growth of the money supply is slowly reduced until it equals the economy's growth rate. Proponents of gradual monetarism argue that this policy controls inflation without unnecessarily slowing down GDP growth. Critics question the policy's ability to control inflation.
