Globex
an international futures trading system which enables futures contracts to be traded outside the trading hours of their national FORWARD MARKETS. Globex is run by REUTERS and its members include the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Matif (of France) and DTB (of Germany). However, it has failed to attract the support of the London based LIFFE, the world's third largest futures market, while the world's largest futures exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, withdrew from Globex in 1994.Collins Dictionary of Business, 3rd ed. © 2002, 2005 C Pass, B Lowes, A Pendleton, L Chadwick, D O’Reilly and M Afferson
