Breadth Indicator
Breadth Indicator
Any
indicator that measures the relative strength of a price movement either upward or downward. One may think of a breadth indicator as a measure of the likelihood of the persistence of an
upswing or a
downturn in a
security's price.
Technical analysts use various breadth indicators to make their recommendations or
investments.
