Bond Issue Costs

The expenses a company or government incurs in the process of issuing a bond. Bond issue costs may include registration with regulators, marketing the issue to investors, procuring insurance and so forth. An issuer must consider bond issue costs when weighing whether issuing a bond is worth the risk.
