Administrative Exception Note

In international commerce, a document listing commodities that a country can export without first notifying the Coordinating Committee for Multilateral Export Controls (CoCom). Commodities listed on administrative exception notes can be exported at the discretion of the exporting country. Administrative exception notes became irrelevant when CoCom ceased to function in 1994.
