Acquittance
A written document which releases a second party from any financial or other
liability. An example of an acquittance would be a
receipt indicating payment in full.
Acquittance
The full satisfaction or discharge of a
debt or other
liability as witnessed by the issue of a
receipt or other, similar document by the
creditor.
