CFA Institute

A professional organization of financial analysts. In addition to operating the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) exams, its members agree to abide by a code of ethical conduct in financial reporting known as the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). Founded in 1925 in Chicago, the CFA Institute has 135 member societies in 56 countries.

Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR)

An international nonprofit organization for investment practitioners and educators. AIMR was founded in 1990 from a merger of the Financial Analysts Federation and the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts. The AIMR is charged with educating and examining investment managers and analysts while sustaining high standards of professional conduct.
