A prediction made by a market maker on a security's trading range. That is, the market maker predicts a workout market when he/she makes an estimate as to the trading range over a short period of time, such as over the course of a trading day. Workout markets are easier to predict when there are fewer potential buyers and sellers for the security. See also: Narrow market.
