Wait Order

Wait Order

A request by an advertiser to a periodical to refrain from running an ad it has already produced and paid for until it receives some further confirmation. For example, a winter coat company may issue a wait order during an unseasonably warm period because it would be more beneficial to advertise coats when the weather is cold.
