VITA

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. A program the IRS administers each year to help low income persons prepare their tax returns. VITA certifies volunteers to work at centers all over the United States. In general, persons under certain income limits are allowed to have their taxes prepared for free by a VITA volunteer.
