U.S. Attorney General
The head of the Department of Justice. The attorney general is responsible for the prosecution of federal crimes and also serves as counsel for the government. He/she also supervises law enforcement agencies such as the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The attorney general is appointed by the president of the United States and confirmed by the Senate.
