Uniform Individual Accident and Sickness Policy Provisions Act
Legislation enacted in all U.S. states outlining some of the responsibilities that health insurers have toward policyholders. The Act deals with the methods and circumstances under which an insurer or a policyholder can make changes to a policy. It was written by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
