U.S. Dollar Area
The area in which the U.S. dollar circulates as a primary currency, either officially or unofficially. The U.S. dollar area includes the United States and its territories, as well as the nations of the British Virgin Islands, Cambodia, East Timor, Ecuador, El Salvador, Liberia, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, Panama, Turks and Caicos Islands and Zimbabwe. Some of these countries have their own currencies but the dollar may be just as accepted or even more widely accepted.
