Tier I, II, III, or IV data center(redirected from Tier I data center)
Tier I, II, III, or IV data centerFacilities for the secure maintenance of data computers for government, industry, health care, and finance. Each increase in a tier level represents increased redundancy (duplication of equipment),reliability, power paths, and availability. A Tier IV data center must be able to withstand one unanticipated worst-case scenario with no interruption in service. Because of rigorous site prerequisites for a Tier IV facility, such as distances from certain risk factors, it can be extremely difficult to find an appropriate property for a user.
