ECONOMIC GROWTH policies that limit the impact of economic activity upon the quality of the environment and that are, therefore, sustainable over the long term. While economic growth brings benefits in the form of higher average incomes, it can also lead to depletion of resources and POLLUTION, and these effects must be controlled.
