Spectail

A dealer on an exchange who conducts transactions for clients but primarily makes transactions on his/her own account. The term is a portmanteau of "speculative" and "retail." That is, the dealer is involved in retail transactions for his/her clients, but is most interested in his/her own speculative investments.
