Screen Actors Guild

A labor union for American film and television actors. It lobbies and negotiates contracts for better pay and working conditions; it also advocates for members in the event of a labor dispute. It was established in 1933 and is based in and Los Angeles. It is affiliated with the AFL-CIO.
