FX

1. ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for Metropolitan France, which includes all of France except for its overseas departments, collectivities, and territories, as well as New Caledonia. This was the code used in international transactions to and from French bank accounts.

2. ISO 3166-2 geocode for Metropolitan France. This was used as an international standard for shipping to Metropolitan France.

In both cases, the code is obsolete.
