If found in breach of rule 18, a registered owner
can face a variety of sanctions up to and including being warned off.
The time delay between the alleged offence and the registered owner
being contacted can be up to 14 days; bearing in mind at the time of the alleged offence no one is stopped and therefore no one is cautioned regarding any offence.
One of the first things we will check is that the person claiming to own a website is in fact the registered owner
of both the domain name and the rights in the site so that those rights can be fully transferred to the purchaser.
Provided the registered owner
objects within a set period of time, then in most circumstances the claim will not be successful.
