Registered Owner

An individual or organization to whom certificates are directly issued and who, as a result, is recorded on the corporation's securityholder records (as maintained by the transfer agent).

Registered Owner

The person or company whose name is listed on a security certificate or some other title. The registered owner is recognized as the legal owner of the property or asset represented by the certificate, and has full rights of ownership subject to the restrictions of law.
