Real Estate Information Professionals Association (REIPA)

A national trade association ( for professionals and corporations involved in providing real estate and public record information in the United States.It has spearheaded the drive to deal with standards in automated valuation model (AVM) technology,which is being used more and more by home lenders for property evaluation,rather than traditional appraisals.

The CATC of REIPA was formed in March 2004 for the primary purpose of increasing the awareness and education of collateral assessment technologies and their derivatives.
Besides the three organizers, member organizations are expected to include The Real Estate Information Professionals Association's (REIPA's) Collateral Assessment and Technologies Committee, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), rating agencies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, mortgage insurers, representatives from the investment banking community, the Title Appraisal Vendor Management Association (TAVMA) and various federal agencies, among others.
