Quarterly Revenue Growth

Quarterly Revenue Growth

The amount by which the revenue in a quarter exceeds the earnings in a corresponding quarter from a previous year, expressed as a percentage. For example, if revenue in Q1 2009 was $1.5 million and was only $1 million in Q1 2008, quarterly revenue growth is 50%. Obviously, higher revenues are considered beneficial for a company, though there is no guarantee they are sustainable.
