The major carriers, though, offer a variety of family plans that could still be better deals than
Project Fi. Those bundled plans allow several phone lines to share a pool of cellular data.
Unlike your typical cell service,
Project Fi will mix traditional wireless technology, where calls are routed through cellular towers, with the wireless Internet service found in Starbucks, airports and elsewhere.
For global travel,
Project Fi will enable low-cost calling in many countries, and data access at 3G speeds without additional charges.
Google claims that it has verified more than a million fast and reliable public wireless hotspots, which were first leveraged for
Project Fi. The Wi-Fi assistant automatically searches for these hotspots, such as those in coffee shops.
23 -- Google is known to be an inventor of path-breaking technology and
Project Fi is just that.
Engadget listed the (https://www.engadget.com/2017/10/17/google-pixel-2-and-pixel-2-xl-review/) following as Pixel 2 pros : "excellent performance, truly impressive camera, it's finally water resistant, Android 8.0 is powerful and accessible, eSIM works well with
Project Fi."
This will help reduce bloatware, but also encourage customers to move toward
Project Fi, Google's MVNO that allows consumers to have a simple data plan with Google-supported by the T-Mobile and Sprint networks.
The internet giant could also launch a cheaper handset to help promote
Project Fi, which is Google's wireless carrier project in the US.
Customers (http://fortune.com/2017/10/04/pixel-2-best-deal-verizon/https://fi.google.com/about/specs/) can purchase the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL from Google's
Project Fi network at full price or for $27.04 per month for 24 months starting through a payment plan.
Google's recent
Project Fi video released last week shows a device that resembles a Nexus 5's front.
The devices will likely be available as a Verizon national carrier exclusive, and as an unlocked GSM model and through Google's
Project Fi network.
