PRB

A currency code for the Transnistrian ruble. It was issued in 1994, replacing the Soviet ruble. It suffered from extremely high inflation at first, but this has eased somewhat since 2000. Because Transnistria has limited recognition, this code is not recognized by the ISO. An equivalent code is RUP.
