Net operating profits at Fortis's banking arm - it has a banking operation in Birmingham --in the first quarter were up 12 per cent at pounds 401.7 million.
Under a revised view of the resale price method that agents have recently been using in inbound cases, the agent might look to the
net operating profit before tax of the potentially comparable companies and adjust the taxpayer's gross margin upward to produce the same net profit margin.
The property giant, which posted
net operating profits of Dh1.656 billion in the first half of 2010 -- a 122 per cent surge on the same 2009 period -- said the results underscored the "effectiveness of its strategy to focus on the core competency of value creation by building premium real estate master-developments in key geographic markets."
