National Quotation Bureau

National Quotation Bureau

A service that publishes bid and offer quotes from market makers in OTC transactions.

National Quotation Bureau

A company that provides quotes for over-the-counter stocks and corporate bonds. The National Quotation Bureau provides information such as the bids, asks, and the market makers giving them. Because stocks and bonds listed by the National Quotation Bureau are over-the-counter, they do not have to meet any listing requirements and may, therefore, come from quite small issuers. The Bureau provides all quotes in real time and publishes a review each week. Its quotes are divided into Yellow Sheets (for bonds) and Pink Sheets (for stocks).

National Quotation Bureau

A private organization that compiles and distributes dealer bid and ask prices for securities traded in the over-the-counter market. Corporate bond quotes are distributed on the Yellow Sheets, while stock quotes appear on the Pink Sheets.
