National Futures Association
A self-regulatory organization that works with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to regulate the futures and commodities markets. Among its most important duties is the provision of arbitration and mediation services for traders and other interested parties. It was established in 1982 and is based in Chicago.

National Futures Association (NFA)
A futures industry self-regulatory body that was established in 1982. The NFA serves a variety of functions including making rules, registering brokers, and arbitrating disputes. The NFA is to the futures industry what the National Association of Securities Dealers is to the securities industry. Compare Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
