Named Nonowner Coverage

An addition to a car insurance policy providing coverage in the event that a named person other than the owner of the car is driving when an accident occurs. Without this coverage, only the owner or the primary operator of a car may be insured. Named nonowner coverage may cover family members or others who might commonly operate the insured vehicle.
