The validated 3T3
NRU test method appears to be particularly relevant for the assessment of industrial chemicals since they are not designed to act on specific biological targets and, in general, tend not to be acutely very toxic.
Abbreviations: FFD, four flavonoids from Daphne genkwa: FCA, Freund's complete adjuvant; MTT, 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide; NO, nitric oxide;
NRU, neutral red uptake; LPS, lipopolysaccharide; DPPH, 2,2diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl; DXM, dexamethasone; TGP, total glucosides of paeony; RA, rheumatoid arthritis; AA, adjuvant arthritis; PG, prostaglandins; DMEM, Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium; iNOS, nitrite oxidative synthase.
Instead, they became the focus of extraordinary public scrutiny, since the
NRU had just marked its 50th anniversary of operation with an extended shutdown that caused a sudden shortage of radioisotopes.
Only in 1954 did Chalk River administrators, still focused on the NRX research reactor and its pending successor, the
NRU, commit themselves to developing nuclear power generation.
The
NRU began operations in 1957 and is the dominant supplier of medical isotopes in Canada and throughout the world.
Of 225 severely-malnourished children, the rate of weight gain was the lowest in the outpatient follow-up group, but there were no significant differences between the home-treated group with home-visits by staff and the
NRU group in the rate of weight gain or in the number of days required to achieve a weight-for-height of >80% of the reference.
Honorary secretary of the
NRU, Chris Davy, confirmed he had received letters from Stockton and Ponteland and added: "The laws are being applied by some clubs not to play on the 4G pitch and it is up to the clubs to decide if they want to or not.
Following exposure, cell cytotoxicity was measured with the MTS assay (which measures the number of viable cells) and the
NRU assay (which measures cell membrane stability).
El ensayo recibe el nombre de fototoxicidad in vitro 3T3
NRU (siglas en ingles) (67).
I WOULD like to thank the
NRU and the Walton Centre at Aintree hospital for all their help.
The tests methods approved are TG428 on the skin absorption of chemicals; TG430 and TG431 on skin corrosion (transcutaneous electrical resistance test and human skin model test), identifying corrosive chemical substances and mixtures; and TG432 on the photo-toxicity of such chemicals and mixtures, (the in vitro 3T3
NRU phototoxicity test).
The
NRU approach redefines full employment in terms of a unique unemployment rate (the
NRU) where inftation is stable, which is determined by supply forces and is invariant to Keynesian demand-side policies.
