Market Enhancing View

Market Enhancing View

A view of economic development holding that capital markets provide much of the liquidity necessary for development, but that government invention is necessary to provide markets with incentives to promote sustainability and long-term growth. The market enhancing view advocates limited government in some matters, but strategic government involvement in others. Economists disagree on how well the market enhancing view works.
