machine code

COMPUTER instructions written as a form of zero/one combinations which the computer can execute by activating off/on electrical pulses. All ‘higher level’ computer program languages like BASIC or COBOL have to be translated into machine code for use in a computer.

It is less well known that a similar technique can be used to parallellize vector operations over the field [F.sub.3] of three elements, representing every element of the field as a pair of bits and emulating the field operations of [F.sub.3] as combinations of standard binary machine instructions.
The Tree representation does not treat the program as a sequence of machine instructions, and, therefore, does not yet divide the program into basic blocks.
In contrast, stock hardware Lisp compilers have to perform efficient register allocation and must emit machine instructions to perform type checking and dispatching when declarations are not present.
The assembly language code is then translated by the computation code generator which uses the rule base describing the architecture of the individual processors to generate machine instructions for the target machine.
Tools to develop accurate machine instructions with less human interface
Software developers can now write computer code without having to understand the details of low-level machine instructions. Programmers write code in a high-level language that a compiler translates into a sequence of 0s and 1s, that the machine then reads and executes.
